The fascination for old technics makes our hobby 'collecting
slot machines' one of the greatest. Right here is shown a respectable
era of the technical history of the last 50 years: As Electricity
was discovered for the control of apparats and machines.
By means of a shaft and some cams the program for each machine
was 'stored'. This quite simple technique was advanced since
the 1950's and can be found in each slot machine build between
1955 and ~1980.
Hereafter were used more and more memory chips which made the
old camshafts needless. |
